United CyanogenMod 9
If you didn’t already know, I (tvall) recently joined the united dev team. So as a member of the team, I am releasing the first CyanogenMod 9 rom for the Dream/Sapphire under the united name.
CyanogenMod 9 is the ICS version of what many consider to be the best custom rom out there. Based on Google’s latest code, with many useful features added in.
This build is currently a work in progress. Today I managed to get it to fully boot, so I excitedly posted it on xda-developers. There are many issues with the build. Wifi hangs at turning on (could just be the kernel I tested with), home button is being weird, camera doesn’t work, and various other issues. I currently can’t test to see if data is working, you need to find that out on your own.
Head over to the xda thread for downloads and flashing instructions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647493
Edit: fixed a few issues (wifi, sdcard, home button), check the thread for more info
United ClockworkMod Touch Recovery
I am pleased to announce that United Recovery now features touch input interaction with an on-screen menu. Enjoy!
Site Updates
I just updated the site with links to share, a new Twitter feed, and an Introduction on the Android page.
Enjoy!
Liberty v0.5 BETA
Liberty has just been updated to v0.5 BETA. It has been moderately tested and should work. It now uses AROMA Installer including tons of features upon installation including a beautiful GUI. The file has not been signed because I do not want inexperienced people flashing it because it is a beta. You may sign it yourself, or flash it using CWM Recovery or United Recovery.
Android Page Updates and More
I just updated the Android page with more topics and a link to future topics. Also, the topic titles now change their size so that you can identify them better when active.
On another note, Infiniflash is getting totally rewritten using the new AndroidLib.dll found here. Also, I may make a HTC Vivid rom and e334 is working on a rom for the HTC Dream/Sapphire.
I’m also going to contact xillius200 and see if we can get back to work on United Recovery.
Stay tuned.
